Dawa Jamba Sherpa is an accomplished Nepali mountaineer and Upeverest’s in-house expert on all things Everest. Dawa has summited Mount Everest five times (four times via the Nepali South Col route and once from the Tibetan North route) and has successfully climbed fifteen other peaks throughout Nepal, all over 5,500 meters, and also summited Cho Oyu (8,201 meters) from the Tibetan side. He has also led treks all over Nepal and has nearly 20 years of unparalleled experience leading treks and climbs all throughout the Himalayas.

To avoid altitude sickness, we acclimatize at Namchee Bazaar where we visit the local museum and surrounding villages. Namche host of fancy shops, coffee shops, lodges and tea houses, and is an excellent place to grow used to moving around in the thin air nearly 3500m above sea level. An alternative trek can be walk to Kunde abd Khumjung ,where you can enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding snow capped giants and the valleys way down below.

After breakfast, we start a short descent to Debuche, following Imja Khola River, and then climb up to Pangboche which houses the oldest monastery in the Khumbu. Pangboche is a pleasant village with beautiful fields. Ama Dablam seems almost at touching distance and shines with majesty. Following the Imja River, there is a short climb to Somare - a settlement with a few houses. We will trek up the Khumbu Valley past chortens and walls of Mani stones and climb for about 45 minutes to the settlement of Dingboche.

A well deserved break for acclimatization to avoid Altitude Mounatin Sickness (AMS) . However you will hike to Chhukung, a small summer settlement and is the staging place for trekkers attempting to summit the Island Peak (6189m). The views from Chhukung are very picturesque with the south face of Lhotse, eastern face of Amadablam and other peaks. This hike will definitely be one of the highlights of the trek.

If you believed that your walk to Everest base camp was amazing. Hold your excitement, as you will be blown away with the majestic views of Everest from Kalapatthar. The view of Everest peak seems within a touching distance between the summit of Mt. Nuptse and Lho-La and Lhotse on the back. You trek early morning with the strenuous climb to reach Kalapatthar, a magnificent spot to be on a clear sunny morning, with full view of all the higher snow capped Mountains.
You descend back to Gorakshep and then all the way back to Loboche. We trek down to Pheriche, which is an easy trail going mostly downhill all the way passing through the village of Dugla.

You will gradually start to leave behind the imposing views of Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam, Thamserku and other peaks. You trek further down to Khumjung and to Syangboche through a hillside filled with rhododendron and juniper trees, pine forest and spot mountains goats, pheasants and other wild animals and birds, which are common to the area before reaching to Namchee Bazaar and continue to finally reach Phakding.

You will be taken for a guided city tour of the two medieval kingdoms, namely Kathmandu, and Patan. Your will visit the heritages sites and the main attractions of these cities are old king palaces, monuments, temples and interaction with local people. A perfect day, which caters glimpses of rich culture that lets you explore ancient temples and religious shrines
You will also visit Swoyambhu-Nath (Monkey Temple), which is a Buddhist stupa situated at the west of central Kathmandu. It’s perched on a hill, so is visible from various points throughout the city, and when the weather is good, the views of the city and the greater Kathmandu Valley from there are stunning and panoramic.
